What is PC Builder? PC Builder is an extension module for an online shop intended for selling configurable goods. If you are an owner of an online shop (or just want to be one) and your shop sells some parts such as computer hardware, you might be interested to allow help your customers to choose select compatible parts in order to build a whole system.
For example, a customer of a computer hardware store might want to choose pick up compatible components like motherboard, CPU, RAM, HDD, video card etc. and order to build a PC system. The PC Builder with its wizard-like interface will guide the customer through several steps. On every step the customer will be offered to choose one or more types of parts. Important is that on every step only parts compatible with previously selected will be shown. If the customer picked up a Socket 478 CPU, only motherboards compatible with this type of socket will be shown on the next step. When the motherboard is chosen selected, only compatible RAM modules will be shown on third step etc...
The embedded components are also checked. For example, if a motherboard has an embedded sound chip, the customer is warned that there is no need to purchase a separate sound card. The same if the customer picked up a keyboard and mouse combination. He will be advised do not purchase a mouse separately.
The management and maintaining of the PC Builder is exceptionally easy. The administrative console takes about 30 minutes to learn. Registering a new component with PC Builder takes just a few seconds.
